No sighting guarantee

We see whales, dolphins, sea lions and pelagic birds year-round, but they are wild animals on a wild ocean. We never guarantee a sighting. Tours run rain or shine, and there is no refund, discount, or free tour if no wildlife is found.

Taxes & fees

Every tour adds a 6% San Diego Port Tax, a 10% Marina Boarding Fee, and a 5% Fuel Surcharge on top of the listed price.

Cancellations & rescheduling

You may reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your tour. Inside 48 hours, no refund or reschedule is available. Mexico visa fees are non-refundable. Gift certificates are non-refundable.

Minimum age & eligibility

Public tours have a minimum age of 4. Infants, pregnant guests, or anyone who needs extra room should book a private tour.

Weather & safety

We operate rain or shine and cancel only for genuinely unsafe conditions, such as a small-craft advisory or lightning. If we cancel for safety, we will work with you to reschedule.

Mexico Island Ecotour

The Los Coronados ecotour crosses an international border. Every passenger must carry a valid passport and pay a $40 Mexico visa fee (non-refundable). We require at least 7 days' notice to arrange this tour.
